This piece I originally made as a school project in which I had to write a short story and illustrate it on a scratchboard. The project focused on negative space and light, and using it to create an image which was “backwards” to the traditional drawing. Instead of shading shadows with a pencil, I was removing just the highlights in the image to create a piece. I sketched out my idea on notebook paper, and then made my final piece. It is still one of my absolute favorites. And the holographic paper for these prints just makes it that much better! :)
